The Board of Directors (BOD) for Hawthorn Park held the regular Monthly Meeting on Thursday, June 28, 2007. Here are the topics and highlights of the meeting. 

Please note:  These are not the official meeting minutes.  The official minutes are recorded by Stephanie Chapman Property Manager, and are archived at the offices of Sentry Management.  Ray Dalto, Director - Assistant Secretary, also maintains a file of the official minutes.

4.    Waiver/Reading Minutes (5/24/07 -- Approved.

5.    President Report  (P. Whitesel) – No specific report.  There is a lot going on in the neighborhood and items will be covered throughout the meeting.

6.    Treasurer Report  (F. Miles) – Ended the month with $12,600 and will make it until the end of June.

Motion passed to place lien on 2 properties of owners who have not responded to requests for back pay of Association fees. 

The Perrys (1112 92nd St NW) have moved out.  New owners will be in soon.

7.    Management Report  (S. Chapman) – Stephanie's Management Report included updates on a number of resident complaints and compliance issues.  All have been addressed and letters/notifications sent. 

Stephanie reported that Palma Sola is raising their fees for using their facilities.  She will further check to see if that includes Hawthorn Park.  It was noted that Peg Mazza is the Hawthorn Park representative on the Palma Sola Board and she may have more information to share.

Stephanie’s full report is on file at Sentry and with the Board.

8.    Committee Reports
      a)    Activities Fund (F. Maruca) – Received $65 for fund from sale of ads.

      b)    Social  (L. Fioretto) – No report

      c)    ARC (L. Fioretto) – BOD approved two ARC requests.

      d)    Landscape/Common Grounds Maintenance (F. Maruca) – Entrance light bulb was changed.  Was discussion on purchasing inexpensive spot light to replace current halogen light fixture. F. Maruca will follow through.

Meter will be discontinued on pump to stop any payments from being paid.

Reclaimed water irrigation system is up and running for the front entrance landscaping and lake area.


9.    Action Items Review

10.    OLD BUSINESS:
     a)    Compliance Committee Hearing re:  Structure 1110 91st St NW – BOD again reviewed the ARC request including the structure in question.  After receiving additional information from the homeowner, the BOD approved the structure and cancelled the compliance committee hearing that was scheduled.

11.  NEW BUSINESS:
     a) 9302 10th Ave NW – Cuban Laurel Tree Trimming – BOD reviewed and approved ARC request for trimming of Cuban Laurel Trees on common property at owner expense.
