1. Call for a quorum of directors. Jeanine introducted Patti Wasil who
replaces Jerry Lemerise from Harmony Management.
2. Reading of minutes of September 22, 2005 meeting

3. Review of Financial Statements [M. Theoret]
4. Property Manager's Report [J. Lemerise]. An estimate was received for placing
rebar in front of 3 storm grates to prevent pets and children from
falling in. Patti Wasil will also get an estimate from the same
vendor for replacing the grates themselves.

- Picnic Committee [P.

- Garage Sale [G. Sinclair]
- Holiday Party [G. Sinclair, K.
Lesjak]. Board has
established a budget for the Holiday Party of $1,500, payable from the
Activities Fund. This is in addition to whatever admission price
the Holiday Party Committee decides to charge.
- Festival of Lights, Hay Ride [G.
Sinclair]. Date not
confirmed.
- ARC [G. Sinclair]. Two ARC requests were asked to
re-submit with additional information required to approve.
- Hawthorn Herald [K.
Lesjak]. Deadline for
articles and input is 11/6/05.
- Common Grounds Committee [N.
Petrakopoulos]. Nikitas
reviewed the priority list established by the committee:
- Australian pines on north border (estimate: $7,500; will impact
3 homeowners)
- Ficus trees between Sinclair and Lesjak ($1,200 recently spent
to raise the canopy)
- Ficus trees behind Phase 1, Lot 38 (former Shulte home; roots
pushing up floor tile)
- Clean up of the west bank of the north pond.
After significant
discussion of multiple possibilities and conflicting goals, decisions
were held over to the November meeting.
6. Unfinished Business
- Action Items Update [A.
Stadlin]. The missing street
sign at the corner of 92nd and 12th has been on order. Patti
Wasil will follow up.
- Irrigation Problems [M.
Theoret]. Tony Chadsey
presented a summary of the pump and sprinkler situation at the front
pond. The Board thanked Tony for his enthusiastic
involvement. After significant time and expense, the pump and
sprinklers are now operating properly.
- Beautification grant - lighting
project [G. Sinclair]. Claudia
Quehl and Art Stadlin will have a meeting with County to discuss the
particulars of the grant and to understand flexibility.
