Committee Reports
1. Common Area Working Committee [V. Meli] -- Vince provided a comprehensive
report. An estimate was received for the work. Vince will
work with Jerry to get additional sealed bids.
2. ARC [G. Sinclair] --
George reported two ARC approvals: 2.5-room addition on Lesjak home,
and repainting of Falcone home.
3. Activities Fund [G. Sinclair/M. Theoret] -- Mike Theoret reported that the
account has been set up at Mike Hogan's First America Bank.
4. Status of contracts [P. Whitesel/C. Quehl] -- Jerry reported that a check was
signed for payment on the 2005 contract with Palma Sola Botanical
Park. "Waterworks" will be the vendor for backflow valve
inspections..
New Business/Comments from the floor
1. Peg Mazza announced that
her appointment to the Board of Directors of the Palma Sola Botanical
Park has been confirmed. She also encouraged Hawthorn Park
residents to volunteer at the PSBP. Reminder: The annual plant
sale is March 12th and 13th!
2. Len Lesjak pointed out
that the proper terminology for our community rules is "Declaration of
Association." This covers the restrictions and by-laws.
3. A homeowner complained
that pick-up trucks are not parked in garages. The homeowner was
reminded that pick-up trucks are not prohibited by our Declaration of
Association. A vehicle of any type with business lettering on it
must be garaged. The homeowner was encouraged to make a specific
complaint to the Board or directly Harmony Management if desired.
