The
Annual Meeting for Hawthorn Park was held on
January
16, 2005. Achieving a quorum was delayed as insufficient
numbers of homeowners mailed in their proxies or attended the
meeting. Through the efforts of Kathy Lesjak, Mike Hogan, and
others who pressed their cell phones into service, enough people
arrived to achieve a quorum and the meeting was able to be held.

number
of Directors from 5 to 7 passed unanimously.
2) The motion to adopt the
2005 budget,
with the dues increase, passed unanimously.
3) There were 8 candidates for election of 7 Directors. The Board
received notice from Peg Mazza that she was removing herself from
consideration because she has an opportunity to serve on the Board of
the Palma Sola Botanical Park. No additional nominations of
candidates were received from the floor. Therefore there were 7
candidates for 7 openings. The
7
candidates were elected unanimously.
